For many women in underserved communities, the line between dreams and responsibilities is razor-thin. Between household chores and caregiving, there’s little room to pursue income or career growth. At Yashr Foundation, we recognized this early — and responded by building skill development programs that work within women’s realities, not outside of them.

Our initiative began with home-based tiffin services, where women could prepare meals for offices and workers from their own kitchens. It wasn’t a charity — it was a model built on competence and dignity. We provided not just recipes, but training in packaging, pricing, bookkeeping, and even local marketing.

Skill-building is not just about work — it’s about worth. By teaching income-ready skills within reach, we’re helping individuals shape their own path to financial independence and self-belief.

This model evolved into a broader livelihood training system, with programs in tailoring, craft-making, and basic digital skills. We’ve seen homemakers become income-earners. Women once hesitant to speak up in groups are now training others in the same skills they learned months ago. And through every session, the message is clear — your time, your space, your terms.

How Our Women’s Programs Create Impact:

  • Trained 750+ women in sustainable, home-based income skills
  • Supported micro-business setup through coaching and starter kits
  • Created peer networks of mutual learning and market support

These programs don’t just add income — they change the way women see their own worth. When families begin depending on a woman’s earnings, she’s no longer just a homemaker. She becomes a decision-maker.
